OMNIKEY 5421 USB SMART CARD

The OMNIKEY® 5421  USB smart card reader is a replica of contact and contactless technologies combined in one gadget.

To support scenarios where both contact and contactless smart card technologies are required, the system includes a dual interface, a PC-linked reader that reads/writes to both a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card and technology and almost any contact smart card.

The reader offers customers the ease, speed, and security for user authentication to PCs, software, cloud-based applications, networks, websites, and other applications by utilizing contact and contactless smart card technologies for PC applications.

OMNIKEY 5421 FEATURES:

Supports three ISO standards for contactless cards (ISO 14443 A / B and 15693) and the ISO 7816 industry standards for contact cards.

Supports EMD suppression on the contactless interface.

Supports standard iCLASS®, MIFARE™, and MIFARE DESFire™, as well as tags and new technologies such as NFC devices.

Native CCID implementation for contact readers, supporting WINDOWS®, LINUX®, and MAC®.
